Hospital Horror #2 – August 2019

Months later, after EXPERIENCING sexual assault, Martha returned to the same hospital — only to face another ordeal. A visibly intoxicated nurse attempted give her IV with a penicillin-based drug, despite her allergy band clearly warning against it. The nurse delayed calling the police to report the sexual assault, and when she finally did, she lied, telling them Martha refused medication. The officers arrived, pressured her to take the medication. She refused. They left without taking her statement because she refused to take the meds and they did not file a report. No lab results had been received, yet the hospital pushed dangerous drugs on her and ignored her cries for help. What should have been a place of healing again became a scene of fear, betrayal, and life-threatening negligence.
